Sinus Lift
Safe and specialized sinus lift — for a stable bone foundation and successful implant placement.
The maxillary sinuses, air-filled cavities located in the upper jaw, play a crucial role in dental restoration. In some cases, the roots of the upper back teeth extend into the sinuses, and after tooth extraction, only a thin layer of bone may remain. When teeth have been missing for a long time and bone volume is insufficient, a sinus lift is often necessary to allow for implant placement.
A) Open Sinus Lift Surgery
This technique involves lateral access by creating a small window in the bone. The sinus membrane is gently elevated using specialized instruments, and the space is filled with bone graft material. A membrane is placed over the graft, and the gum tissue is repositioned and sutured. Implant placement follows 9–12 months later, and the prosthetic restoration is completed 4–6 months after implantation.
B) Closed (Internal) Sinus Lift Technique
When the existing bone height is close to the required level and only minor elevation is needed, a less invasive internal approach is used. The sinus membrane is elevated up to 4mm with bone graft material, and the implants are placed simultaneously. Prosthetic restoration follows 4–6 months later, after full integration of the implants.
Individualized Treatment Planning
The selection of the appropriate technique and the overall treatment management are carried out with precision and expertise, ensuring the best possible outcome for each individual case.
